Sher/Scher family genealogy?
I’m looking for my great great grandparents from Eastern Europe. Abraham Sher/Scher born in 1883 Galicia died in the bronx and was a carpenter. His Fathers name was Joseph Sher/Scher born in Galicia, an orthodox jew, and then Becky Shapiro who was born in 1894 in Mazyr Russia (Current day luthuania) and died in Flordia. I’m looking for any information on them. Mostly on there parents? Thank you very much to everybody who contributes.
I don’t know if you have a subscription to Ellis Island. But it is free to sign up. If you do, then click on this and look at line 10. Also look at the lines above it as they are his sister, brother-in-law and family. See if this is your Abraham (there are 4 the right name, but this is the one I’ve found whose father is named Jozef and is from Brest Lithuania)
