I believe purely from ready and study of the scriptures, all 66 books, John 8:28-32, 17:17, Heb.4:12, do you?

I am so thankful for this book, I know it began before Noah, and was
passed down with care, Shem died just 25 years before Abraham,
he sure recorded his family information as being son #20 in the
genealogy of Jesus in Matt.1:1-17, no short time from him to Jesus.
For all the people that do not like it, I make up for them all, I just
wish people were not so bad then and all of my 73 years of life.

I think Melchizedek was Shem. And he taught Abraham about God. So they were not strangers when they met in Genesis.
