Where can I get a simple program to trace the history of the family without any other unnecessary features?

I draw two trees family – mine and one for a mythical family. I would like a program that simply allows me to draw a tree relationship, but not synchronize with the online genealogy sites or Google Earth or so graphically clear family members and their relationships without all the added brightness. Although the ability to add photos and long notes, each member would be ideal.

This is a great site (FamilySearch) but I did just hear about a site that is free and I'm impressed – Www.geni.com where you can build your family tree. Check it out.
