NOTHING…….anyways does anyone know how to find your genealogy…..IF SO THEN…PLZ,PLZ,PLZ,PLZ HELP ME! I REALLY WANNA KNOW MY ANCESTRY!THANX

I’m not aware of any Central or South American countries that have published genealogy information on the internet. There are several reasons, but mainly it’s the cost and lack of computer infrastructure, secondarily followed by the fact that few of these countries have been independent and stable long enough to have records old enough to publish.

When in a heavily Catholic country, the reality is that you’re best off to start by contacting the parish where you were baptized and work backwards from there. Get your own baptismal, confirmation and marriage records. Then get the records on each of your parents. Keep going back for as far as you can go at the parish. Talk to them to find out which parish or diocese has records from before that parish opened. Sacramental registers track many things, including the parish of baptism for everyone receiving any other sacraments. The parish registers were implemented by the Roman Catholic Church in the late 1300s/early 1400s, so they predate the colonization of the Americas. So you can go back pretty far using that route…as long as you’re patient and have a good grasp of Spanish…or parent/friend to do the translating for you.
