Native American adoption in ancestor search…..?
was it common for people in the U.S. to adopt Native American children into the family. I have come across that in genealogy searches in my 2nd husband’s fam and 1st husbands fam. One was approximately 1895(Texas) and the other was aprrox 1910 (Maryland).

Texas in 1895 is very possible… I won’t say how “common”. For Maryland in 1910, I would be very skeptical. Do you have some documentation?
