heritage of great grandmothers’ last name?

I’m going to put spaces in her surname so my family can’t find that I’m trying to trace our genealogy. They’re really iffy about it and I feel like I’m missing a big part of myself by not knowing.

My great grandmother died a few years ago, I never knew her and I can never get a straight answer out of anyone in my family as to what tribe she belonged to because she was “supposedly” 100% native american. Her last name is “B a r c h i e”

Also can you guys please help me find where “B u d l o n g”, Morales, Baggesen and Medina come from?

The two preceeding two Barchie’s are the only ones I found on FamilyTree.org except for the 19 I found on the SSDI which don’t give country of origin.

The preceeding record is the third record I found for a immigrating Barchie. So, if you grandmother was 100% Native American possibly she married a Barchie and it would help to know her maiden name. I could be wrong in this but at first clance this is how it seems.

I found your Baggesen surname in Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland and the Netherlands. http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=/eng/search/ancestorsearchresults.asp http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?gsfn=&afsrc=1%2c1&gsln=Baggesen&sx=&f5=&f4=&f7=&f14=&f21=&Server=search&DatabaseID=6061&db=1920usfedcen&ti=0&type=p&title=1920+U.S.+Federal+Census&submit.x=68&submit.y=12&o_xid=0013174552&o_lid=0013174552&o_xt=13174552&cj=1&o_xid=0002384096&o_lid=0002384096
