Is there an online application or genealogy software that can go back an unlimited amount of generations?

I would like to find an application online that allows you to create a chart for genealogy purposes that could go back an unlimited amount of generations. An application for creating sports tournament brackets like for NCAA might do the trick as well, working in reverse, but I haven’t been able to find anything via Google. I’d like to create a comprehensive family chart but the programs I’ve seen online can only go back a few generations and we need room to take it back to the sixth century and hopefully branch out as needed in other places, indefinitely… hence the desire not to do it on paper. Thanks if you know of anything!

Roots Magic, Family Tree Maker and PAF will all go back to Adam and Eve. That isn’t unlimited, but people often confuse “many” with “infinite”.

People often believe more than they should, too. Realistically, anything prior to 1600 is suspect, and, unless you are a member of one of the royal houses of Europe (legitimately; the rumors of King Edward trifling with the chambermaid, your 24th great grandmother, don’t count) you probably shouldn’t trust anything prior to 1500.
