Orphanages Ealing 1918 Family History Genealogy?

I’m searching for a list of Orphanages or children’s homes around 1918 in Ealing, particularly one called Eric House or similar. Does anyone know of this home or know how I can go about finding orphanages and their records? Of course I have begun to search the online National Archives etc but I feel that I need to find out specifically about Children’s homes and orphanages.
Thanks

Incidentally I wonder if anyone knows why I can’t find a death record for a relation who died of Spanish flu at Whipps Cross hosp during the epidemic 1918? Were there so many deaths at that time they did something else? Is there a records database of Whipps X deaths?

Hanwell School for Orphans and Destitute Children? Doesn’t sound much like Eric but it is in Ealing.
Charlie Chaplin was sent there.
