Genealogy Forms Word

I'm Latino or white?
My grandmother was born and raised in Nicaragua and moved to the States in the 30s. Everyone else in my genealogy is considered Caucasian or European. The problem I have is when I have to fill one of these forms (Race and Ethnicity) I am in conflict, because I have to choose between being Hispanic / Latino or white (not Hispanic or Latino). I understand that is just a label and the word Hispanic is more about the cultural context, as if speaking Spanish or English, but at the same time, many whites who live in South and Central America, & I have native blood (she had a DNA test), but seems entirely Irish. Can anyone shed some light on this. S Corey – the idiot, please take a biology class and DNA. Otherwise, they would realize that his comments are totally off base. Thank you, Loops, Geri Curl, Lisa G, you are all blank!
I think it is basically his personal choice of how to identify, since it seems that they are basically multi-racial, taking into account the results of their DNA. There is a category for the most forms now. If you identify as Latino, if your grandmother was a European (white) Latino, Mestizo America, Africa, America, Latin or Indian, then check the appropriate box. If you prefer to identify as white or multi-racial, then check that one.
