A month ago I received a marketing call a "red top" who had just joined a new opportunity and wanted me stop what he was doing and join them.
Now as more successful in the industry, these calls become more frequent and on the surface may be flattering.
However, on this occasion, the last thing I would use to describe this call would be flattering.
You see, the individual only assumed that since they left their previous occasions and make the most of their organization with them to the new opportunity, then, of course, do the same.
Problem # 1 – I was not interested in a new opportunity. In other words, there was a good candidate.
Problem # 2 – This guy without even asking whether or not interested, just started to "sell" me the opportunity and what they can do for me " when "I choose to move to this new opportunity.
Of course, this led to …
Problem # 3 – The debate the "incursions" my existing organization and the compensation he would receive a "signing bonus" of the new opportunity. You see, I am going to pay six figures just to spend with my team … interesting … but highly unethical!
Needless to say, he thanked me for thinking me and ended the call.
What is this "Attack" recruitment strategy?
This strategy Recruitment is when someone decides to actively pursue other equipment vendor network with the sole purpose of having them come join them in a new opportunity.
This marketing strategy for years has been taught to new recruits as an innocent-proof method of building your organization.
This strategy has been used within the same company, as well as against other companies within the same direct selling industry.
This strategy is in proportion epidemic and directly affects all areas of direct selling profession.
How does this strategy of recruiting an impact negative in my credibility?
In the time to start communicating with your existing equipment on an opportunity that has nothing to do with existing businesses, your credibility goes down the proverbial toilet.
Any relationship of leadership that has created will dissolve.
Remember that an important factor, simply because you think it is a good opportunity, does not mean your bottom line will think the same way.
On another note, I'm pretty sure none of your line below gave you permission to contact them about "other" business opportunity.
The same applies to other network vendors now on another occasion. If they actively advertised and advertising before, then I think they are fair game. However, if you are in contact without permission, as calls genealogy lists as an example, then I think it is ethical.
How does this strategy of recruitment of a negative impact on the credibility of the profession of network marketing?
This kind of strategy really take a morsel of credibility of the entire profession.
Now, you might say, "So what, it's not my problem."
Well, unfortunately, are all part from the same community and therefore are painted with the same brush.
What Is there a solution to this epidemic of recruitment?
First, it is important to note that I am not suggesting that it is unethical if it decides to move to another chance. I'm just suggesting that it is unethical if you try to carry your team with you.
However, as a solution, I suggest instead of adopting such a strategy, actually learn how to attract the right people for his opportunity.
Learn to add value to others without thought of receiving anything in return. Who knows, maybe next great leader will call on your business.
It occurred to me on more than one occasion.
