Genealogy Requests
Question about “Contacts” and “Fans”?
The past 3 days I’ve had 20-30 e-mails from Yahoo stating that members wanted to add me as a contact. I haven’t had that many request in the nearly 2 years I’ve been on this site. Any thoughts as to what is going on? I’ve also had several messages from other members and this has never happened before (I did set my preferences to receive e-mails for a few days because of a genealogy question I asked, but I’ve changed it back because of all the fan and contact messages).
Anybody else experience this sort of thing? I haven’t even answered THAT many questions this week and I rarely ask questions, so I’m a little baffled.
Have you recently started asking and answering questions in a new section? Certain sections of Yahoo! Answers contain a lot of people who write e-mails and connect to other users regularly.
For example, the Religion & Spirituality section of Society & Culture and the Polls & Surveys section of Music & Entertainment are two sections where people regularly connect to one another and send each other e-mails.
