When we talk about genealogy, the first thing that comes to mind is, of course, kinship, lineage and descent – and rightly so, for the genealogy is the study of all these things – family ties and the trees of the family, relatives and ancestors, lineages and relationships.

There are, however, a book Using the genealogy of a very different way as we have always come to understand it. Instead of studying the genealogy as a way to trace the origin and parentage of a person, Nietzsche on the Genealogy of Morals will take its place, the genealogy of morality, its terminology and the meanings attached to it as the moral evolved over time. Published in 1887, the book has gained popularity worldwide for its deep philosophical understanding of how its author, Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, has challenged our established views on Christianity and morality.

Three trials are the body of the book, namely "Good and Evil, good and bad," "The guilt, bad conscience and related matters "and" What ascetic ideals mean? "The chronicle of three tests of the evolution of morality, because it has a different meaning in different time periods during the history.

Points of Nietzsche's book is precisely because of its long history that morale has different meanings, because he lives off course in time. Meaning changes to adapt to the times and the people involved, therefore, our current concept of morality should not be as rigid or structured set. Instead, we should be open to accept the fact that many different groups of people throughout history have influenced our current meaning and bring it to the face value would be a big mistake at trial.

Other sub-themes as guilt, conscience and asceticism are explored further in the book. Although deeply philosophical, and a challenge Read, in the genealogy of morals is a fascinating study on human morality, its evolution over time and indefatigable "will to will" which, as Nietzsche discovered, can not be denied.
