Mexico Genealogy Search
What’s the best way to search for your genealogy?
I want to search for my genealogy but I don’t know where to start. My mom is from Mexico and my Dad was born in Texas so I was wondering where I could go to search for both sides of the family. Anyone know? Thanks
the “game” of researching ancestors is to use records, to find how you are related to a person. WHERE are those records? Cannot tell you that, since it is completely different for each person, place or time.
Records are (generally) not online for anyone who is living. Your birth certificate is an example of a record that should not be online..but you have access to. It “proves” who your parents are (and yes, you need to use documents, even for info you “know”). Overall.. records about dad will be in Texas files, or could be online (can’t say for sure.. since you have included no dates, or if he is/ is not living). For mom’s line, the bulk of the records will be where her family comes from.
One thing I often say (and it does go against what many people want to hear).. you need to think in terms of the MOST places where you can get info. Don’t limit yourself.. because you might cut off from the one place where the answer is.

is a good place for you to explore..especially the beginner area. But, take time to look at the other areas, so you can get some idea of the different types of sites which will have information.
