Where did most TB (tuberculosis) patients stay back in 1900??

I am working on a genealogy project, and am trying to find out where a person with TB would have typically stayed in about the year 1900? Did they stay at home or were they kept in hospitals or separated from the general population? I’m interested in particular in the state of Missouri. If you have any sources or specifics, that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

No I don’t agree. A lot were staying home. Tuberculosis was a typical disease and people were dying from it big time. It was mostly touching poor population , lack of sun, inadequate food and mostly untreated cases because of no antibiotics at that time was making tuberculosis a big issue. The funny things is that tuberculosis is coming back again, People from poor countries are bringing the disease in the US. The good news is that now we can treat it faster.
