genealogy, brick wall?

I need help finding information on my great grand parents. They moved from Dumbarton, South Carolina to Baltimore, Maryland around 1920. They are black. They came to Maryland with people with the last name of Moore.My great grandmother Lula M Blake’s I’m not sure what her maiden name is (Moore, Hallinquist maybe ) some of her birth information is 30 Nov 1901 from SC. She had a daughter Grace I think her maiden name was Blake, born (22 Jan 1917) she married a Charles Gross.I’m sure they lived in Baltimore, City.

If I were you I’d order a copy of their death certificates from Vital Statistics in Baltimore, MD. I think the charge is about $12.00 for each. Their death certificates should list their father’s name and their mother’s maiden name if known and of course the cause of death.

Also, you can order a copy of their original application for a social security card which also gives you additional information.
