King John of England – Short History and Accomplishments
John of England was born on Christmas Eve 1167 and died October 19, 1216. He became king England in 1199 and had a very interesting story. His succession to the throne came after his brother King Richard I, Lionheart nickname. John was not as inspiring. He was called both "Landless" (not because he would inherit the land of his father, being the fifth child) and "Soft Sword" (due to military incompetence like a king).
Children can think of King John as the character of Robin Hood, and that is who is supposed to be. Although they have no idea if a Robin Hood existed. But King John is historically known as the signer of the Magna Carta in 1215, one of the world's most famous documents. The Magna Carta was the inspiration to our democracy today. greatly reduced the power of the monarchy, to put more power in the hands of the people.
King John of England was the last, 8th and child, son of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine. It was the favorite of his father and received a good education, with the ability to read fluently. His childhood became embroiled in disputes like her mother and brothers were constantly in conflict with his father Henry II. Eleanor was imprisoned by her husband at one point. As a young boy John was being trained and expected to come into office (church) service. This was to relieve his father, King Henry II of having to give all the land.
As a child, John promised Alice (Alys) of Savoy, daughter of Humbert III of Savoy. It was at this same time that John was no longer designated to go to service employees as seemed more important for him to use politics. John was to inherit most of the lands of Umberto of the Alps, helping to expand the influence of England. misfortune Alice died on his way to meet John.

When King Richard died, his brother John King John became 1 in 1199. However, once again was not easy for John. It ended in a dispute over the throne with his nephew Arthur. King Philip II France had favored Arthur, but finally supported John. King Philip II was actually John's overlord at the time of certain French territories held by John.
John later denied some of the things that he had asked Philip, who was the right of a feudal lord, and declared the war between England and France. John built a modern navy in this war and sometimes is declared the Father of the Modern Navy. The life of the English and French war took the death last of John in 1216. Her 9 year old son became King Henry III. Juan and the reign was full of conflict and strife. Many feel that their time more disastrous in the history of English, although some consider that its acceptance of the Constitution the greatest event in the history of democracy.
