Any one doing genealogy on the Cunningham’s?

I am looking to find info on George Cunningham born about 1833 in Pendleton Co. Virginia, he married Rebecca Flenner in Gilmer Co. Can’t find anything on him before he married Rebecca.
George was suppose to have served in the Civil War, but never returned. After his death Rebecca married Hiram Allen in 1870.

There are people doing genealogy on the Cunningham’s. It is not me, but I know how you can find them on the internet. I have put some searches below, that take you to hundreds of sites where you will find people posting trees, questions, looking for your research, etc. This is an advanced part of Genealogy research on the internet, hooking up with others having the same interests. Hopefully you will have done your family tree basics (you, your parents, grandparents and as much up from there as you can find, or get through interview).

This should help. Dont forget to look in the other places too. Family Search, Ellis Island, other passenger manifests, etc.

PS – I read your question a little better… George is not found specifically in Family Search, but is it possible his father is George also? There are a lot of them in Family Search.

Check the Civil war sites for and battlefields for him too. Added after my initial response.
